How it started
The story starts in Milan, in the early 2000s, with cultural organizations and events by Zorica Petrović and later her talent agency.
In 2008, for the Orthodox New Year celebration, a simple idea emerged: bring people together. Zorica and her daughter Zorana — known as Zoe — organized it from their hearts, in a restaurant, with no expectations.
That night, something special happened.
The space was full.
The atmosphere was powerful.
People connected instantly.
Photos were taken with cameras — raw, unfiltered, real. It wasn't just a party. It was a feeling.
Italian guests asked: "Can this happen again? Maybe once a month?"
That was the moment when Balkan Party Milano was born.
The evolution
The first night
Orthodox New Year celebration in a Milan restaurant. A community was born without anyone planning it.

Regular events with themed nights, new concepts, and people from all Balkan countries — students, professionals, creatives. Everyone was welcome. Many connections made then still exist today.
The idea grows
From events to something bigger. A clear need emerged: connection, visibility, networking, a shared digital space. The diaspora needed more than just parties.
